Beginner Workshops
About the Workshop
The Adult Ballet Beginners Workshop is designed especially for adults who are new to ballet or returning after a long break. It offers a supportive, relaxed environment where participants can explore the fundamentals of classical ballet at a comfortable pace, with no pressure and no prior experience required.
What You’ll Learn
Students are introduced to basic ballet terminology, posture, and alignment, along with foundational movements. Classes include essential barre work to build strength, balance, and coordination, followed by simple centre exercises that develop musicality, flexibility, and confidence, while emphasising correct technique, safe movement, and body awareness.
Focus & Adaptations
The workshop also focuses on how ballet movements flow together, learning to listen and move to music, and developing grace and control. Modifications are offered throughout the course to suit different fitness levels and body types, creating an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging learning experience.
Outcomes & Resources
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a clear understanding of basic ballet technique, improved strength and flexibility, and the confidence to continue their ballet journey for fitness, artistic expression, or pure enjoyment. Each participant receives a beautiful manual, home practice class links, and a special Les Danseuses gift.
